Renovation of penthouse terraces
In this project, our client needed to create two outdoor spaces that could be enjoyed all year round and that would be aesthetically consistent with the rest of the house.
The lower terrace
On this first terrace, we created a visual filter using spruce wood paneling.
We created a plant backdrop using custom-made metal planters. We covered the floor with natural IPE wood decking and designed a custom barbecue inside a cabinet that is completely concealed.
the upper terrace
A more extensive renovation was carried out on the upper terrace. We carried out a comprehensive remodel, starting with creating space for a modular swimming pool. A green barrier was created with planters integrated into the balcony wall itself, which also served as a safety barrier.
An outdoor kitchen was developed for this terrace, integrated with a sliding bar that allows for different uses of the terrace.
The cladding was treated with large-format porcelain tiles combined with a natural stone masonry wall. The pergola has a sun filter made of natural bamboo.
Smart lighting was incorporated into both spaces. During sunset and at night, it creates a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
With this result, we were able to meet our client’s objectives and needs: to ensure that their terraces were in keeping with the rest of the house and to turn them into a pleasant space where they could enjoy the outdoors all year round.
